Peachy and creamy vegan milkshake blended with fresh peaches and graham crackers. Milkshakes make the ultimate summer dessert-drink combo, especially when you can get creative with the flavour! During summer you might want to take advantage of the variety of juicy fruits available, such as peaches.
I have two other vegan milkshake recipes on my blog: the Strawberry Rhubarb Milkshake is perfect for summer as well, and you might want to save the Pumpkin Spice Milkshake for autumn!
Enjoying this nostalgic drink as a vegan/dairy free consumer has never been easier! Read on to see how I made this super simple and easy milkshake.
Ingredients rundown
The base ingredients for any vegan milkshake is vegan ice cream and non dairy milk. All other ingredients are added to create the peach cobbler flavour.
Vegan vanilla ice cream
Make sure the ice cream is explicitly vegan, since some dairy-free ice creams still contain egg. You can also use different ice cream flavours, depending on what flavour milkshake you are making. We are using vanilla ice cream in this recipe, since peach flavour is not commonly found in stores.
Non dairy milk
You can use any non dairy milk, depending on your flavour preferences. For the creamiest milkshake, I would recommend using coconut milk.
Peaches
I recommend using yellow or white peaches for this recipe, since they are both juicy. Make sure the peaches are just ripe enough to smell peachy, but not overly mushy.
Graham crackers
Graham crackers are quite versatile in the dessert world, and can even be blended into drinks! When you’re buying graham crackers make sure to double check the ingredients label, as some brands use dairy and egg.
Ground Cinnamon
Cinnamon is often added to baked recipes (such as cobblers), and adds a little spice and flavour to the milkshake.
Milkshake toppings
The classic milkshake topping is whipped cream. Of course, the dairy free alternative is coconut whipped cream, which you can find in your local grocery store. This milkshake is also topped with more fresh peach slices, graham cracker pieces, and a little sprinkle of cinnamon.
FAQs
Yes, you can blend frozen peaches into the milkshake, but it will take a little longer to blend. Use about 1 cup of frozen peach.
Any high speed and durable blenders work! You can even use a NutriBullet style blender to make a single serving (half of the recipe).
Unfortunately, with the addition of graham crackers it is not gluten free.
